At the request of CMS Central Office, a moratorium has been placed and is currently in effect on the Enrollment Data Validation (EDV) Review process. This moratorium began on March 12th, 2012. Additional requests for documentation on the transactions processed directly into the CMS system will not be sent to the organizations until CMS provides the approval to proceed. Updated information on resuming the EDV review process will be posted to our website as it is received from CMS.

ENROLLMENT DATA VALIDATION (EDV) REVIEW PROCESS STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE (SOP)
The EDV SOP provides guidance to all applicable organizations on how to provide supporting documentation for the transactions selected for the EDV Review Process. Organizations must comply with CMS Guidelines and Regulations, which include Chapter 2, 7, 17d, 19, and the Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) Guidance. However, organizations must also follow the RPC’s EDV SOP when submitting documentation in response to an EDV Review Request.
