Reed & Associates has been performing services for CMS since 1996
under subcontract to various firms. Our services have included:
- SAS 70 audits of Medicare Fiscal Intermediaries and Fiscal Carriers to evaluate the design, implementation and effectiveness of internal controls to meet established CMS control objectives
- Final Administrative Cost Proposal (FACP) audits to determine final allowability of administrative costs claimed for reimbursement
- Medicare Managed Care Organization (MCO) Prepaid Health Plan Cost Report Audits to determine the allowability and allocability of costs claimed.
- Medicare+Choice Adjusted Community Rate Proposal Audits to determine the accuracy and completeness of the proposal and to establish payment rates to M+C Organizations.
- Medicare Managed Care Payment Validation Services - to complete or facilitate the retroactive payment adjustments, reconciling the final payment for non-renewal contracts, and performing monthly analyses of any discrepancies submitted by the Medicare Advantage Organizations (MAO’s), Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plans (MA-PDs), and Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs) and reporting on these activities.
